§1.1 · The mod menu
Opening the mod menu
Hold L2 (PS) or LT (Xbox) and press Options (PS) or Menu (Xbox). The menu appears on the Zen's OLED.
01Purpose
The mod menu is where you switch mods on and off and set their values. It is part of the script itself, so it works with the game running and nothing on the TV changes. Everything you see is on the Zen's small OLED screen.
02Control
- Open
- Hold L2 (PS) / LT (Xbox), then press Options (PS) / Menu (Xbox)
- Stay in the menu
- Keep L2/LT held the whole time
- Leave the menu
- Release L2/LT
The menu ignores the D-pad the moment L2/LT is released. If a press seems to do nothing, check that the trigger is still held.
03Range / Default
The menu opens on page 1, Style. There are 25 pages. A page counter bottom-right of the OLED shows n / 25.
At boot, yew2K shows its logo during a 1500 ms menu lockout. Wait for it to clear before opening the menu.
04Adjustment
Nothing to tune on this page. Page-to-page movement and value changes are covered in 1.2 Navigating pages and 1.3 Fine-tuning values.
05Notes
- The Zen's OLED shows the script name when the script is loaded, not the Gearhead logo. If you see the Gearhead logo, no script is running and the menu cannot open.
- Your controller must be in the front A1 USB port. Any other port and the menu will not respond.
- If the menu still will not open, work through 1.5 When the menu won't open.
