Loading a build onto the Zen
Compile the .gpc in Zen Studio, drag it into one of 8 memory slots, press Play, then move the Zen back to the console.
01Purpose
yew2K and yewFN are generator-based: your settings are compiled into the GPC you download from yew.gg. That file has to be compiled and flashed to the Zen every time you download a new build.
02Steps
- Download your build from the Script Download page on yew.gg (owners only). Re-run the Generator first if your settings changed.
- Connect the Zen to the PC by the PROG port and open Zen Studio.
- Open the Compiler tab and drag the
.gpcfile in. - Press Compile.
- Drag the compiled script into one of the 8 memory slots.
- Press Play (the flash icon) to write it to the Zen.
- Disconnect from the PC. Connect the rear CONSOLE port to the PS5/Xbox/PC and the controller to the front A1 port.
- Pick the slot with the Zen's button. The OLED shows the script name when it is loaded.
03Software
| Tool | Version | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Zen Studio Live | 1.0.8 (browser, Chrome recommended) | Primary — compile and flash |
| Zen Studio Legacy | 1.7.0 b7 | Firmware 2.2.14 and earlier |
| Web firmware updater | firmware.modcentral.ca (Chrome/Edge) | Firmware updates |
| Firmware | 2.3.2 | Current firmware referenced in this manual |
04Notes
- The Zen's OLED shows the script name when loaded, not the Gearhead logo. yew2K shows its own logo during a 1500 ms lockout at boot.
- Zen documentation is at guide.cronuszen.com. The Zen is made by Collective Minds; this site is not affiliated with Collective Minds.
- Port summary and firmware notes: 5.4 Zen hardware notes.
