Button Rhythm

“Button rhythm is turning your regular button shot into a rhythm shot. When you press Square, your controller's right stick gets pulled down (on the software output level, not in real life) and this starts a rhythm shot — then when you release the button, it smoothly flicks the stick up to give it rhythm.”

It does not time the shot for you. You still release when you release. What it changes is the shot type: the game grades it as a rhythm shot, which gives a bigger green window, a smaller shot-contest penalty, and more consistent results from the same release.

Button Rhythm (page 2)

The millisecond value is how long the upward flick lasts after you release the button. It is the center step of a 6-point ease-in-out sweep. NBA 2K27 grades stick tempo, so a snap upward shrinks the window; the sweep is what keeps it open.

On this page, hold Cross (PS) / A (Xbox) and tap D-pad Up to raise the value or D-pad Down to lower it. Without Cross/A held, Up/Down only toggles the page On or Off.

There is no formula for this value. Take fades and standstills at each setting in online MyCourt and keep the one that feels best. yew runs 23; the shipped center is 35. Try both, then move in small steps.

The sweep length changes by shot context without any input from you:

• Button Rhythm only touches button shots. For right-stick shots the equivalent is 2.5 Auto Tempo.
• With Rhythm off, the SQ Remap page shows Off and does nothing.
